My name is Zahra’a and i have 16 years old. I was in a school for orphans accepting social cases like mine though my parents are divorced from 6 years ago and we live in my uncle’s house. My father does not recognize us as his family so we don’t receive any money from him to support us. It’s so tough for my mother to rear up all this family knowing that she has a cardiovascular disease and despite this she goes every day at the hospital to work at the cleaning department in order to support us financially. I’m eager to pursue my academic degree in Nursing so i can help my family and my community both financially and as a religious mission and call at the humanitarian level.

Zahra’a is a 17 years old girl from the Bekaa Valley pursuing her studies at Imam Sadr Foundation in South Lebanon. Like all deprived families, the socio-economic encounter of Zahra’a is difficult. Her father is a hard daily worker and his income is not sufficient for a family of 5 members, especially that the mother does not work and that the children are still in public schools. Furthermore, this head of family has a chronic malformation in his vertebral column which inhibits him from working for long hours. Zahraa’ wish is to continue her nursing education (BT level) in order to change the destiny of her family and her community

Kawthar is a 19 yrs old living in South-Lebanon in a family in which only the father works as a daily worker in electricity. He is not an employee and thus he does not benefit from the social security which inhibits him to have a medical coverage for his family. All Kawthar’s siblings are younger than her and are still continuing their studies and her sister has renal problems leading her to undertake dialysis and to depend on chronic drugs. Kawtthar wants to challenge her situation by becoming an efficient productive member of the society and she found that the nursing career is her only path to salvation. However, she prays God to send her someone to help her financially to cover her tuition fees and thus be able to succeed at both the personal and social levels.
