Who we are

On behalf of the Board of Trustees I would like to thank you for taking the time to become acquainted with The Lady Fatemah Charitable Trust. The mission of the Trust is to alleviate poverty in all of its forms and has thus far disbursed over half a million pounds to thousands of impoverished people around the world. The generalist mission of the Trust has resulted in vibrant and often pioneering activity in a variety of projects, ranging from education and healthcare to socio-economic regeneration and micro-finance.

The Trust combines a global perspective with local insight. As such, whilst the Board of Trustees are based in London, there is an international network of experienced volunteers on the ground who verify each of the appeals that arise. They are also available to provide on-going support and guidance. Since projects are generally driven by specific appeals, the Trust has created the organisational functionality to respond quickly and effectively to a range of requests. This approach to tackling poverty has attracted a range of donors, from institutions supporting a particular activity, to individuals wishing to support the needy with whatever assistance is required at any point in time.

The following pages provide details of the scope and nature of our various activities and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss the projects in person. Therefore please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or ideas. We look forward to working with you and pray that with your assistance, we will be able to bring hope and opportunity to our many impoverished brothers and sisters.

With warm appreciation,

Amir G Karim
