On UN 🇺🇳 World Water Day we celebrate the milestones reached at LFT #MakingASplash in delivering impact on Sustainable Development Goal 6. It’s as simple as 1-2-3!
1- over 25,000 litres of fresh water now available every day at the Nungwi Schools and Makunduchi Hospital in Zanzibar from solar powered desalination. Green energy for clean water.
2- on the island of Pemba nearly 100,000 residents now have water on their doorstep thanks to an LFT water installation. Good crops, high school attendance and eliminating water borne disease.
3- over 100 farms growing crops and harvesting food to feed the desert dwellers in Thar Desert Sindh with fresh locally grown crops that are in season and part of their staple diet in addition to a supply of fresh water.
