LFT Afghanistan – over 1,000 orphaned children in the Dashte Barchi district of kabul have now received a school uniform at the start of the current academic year.
Dressed in traditional dress that is the official school uniform these students now turn up to school dressed smartly and ready to take control of their own lives. They are supported with additional tutoring to ensure they excel in their studies as well as mental health training for both building resilience and help in treating identified trauma and mental distress.
In the process over 40 mothers at mothernomics in Kabul have been empowered by receiving these bulk orders for not only school uniforms, Eid garments gifted to widowed mother and also ornate garments for weddings and celebrations that are embroidered in the traditional Hazara tradition.
