LFT Dashte Barchi, Afghanistan –
Meet Marina, a second-grade pupil participating in the LFT’s educational program designed to support orphaned and vulnerable children.
Marina is an exceptional student, possessing dedication, passion, and a strong motivation to secure a better future through education.
Tragically, Marina’s father, a labourer, passed away three years ago due to a workplace accident.
He has fallen from the building while constructing and died three years ago. Despite the significant financial struggles caused by her father’s absence, Marina’s mother works tirelessly by crafting and selling handmade clothes to provide basic necessities for the family.
Marina’s steadfast determination stems from her desire to alleviate her family’s hardships. Marina explains
“I find solace in my studies. When I am at school, I immerse myself in my books, lessons, and homework. The vibrant school environment ignites my dreams for the future. I am wholeheartedly grateful to the LFT and everyone who is involved in supporting orphaned and vulnerable children like me. Without your support accessing education would be unattainable, I would be forced to forego schooling in favour of contributing to the family’s needs, like many orphaned children are deprived of education instead, working to make money and contribute to their families’ needs”.
Marina is an enthusiastic and dedicated girl, eagerly seizing her educational opportunities to strive for a successful future. Through the unwavering support of the LFT’s educational programme, Marina excels in both her academic and extracurricular endeavours, aiming to transform her challenging circumstances into pathways for success and prosperity.
