Afghanistan – Kabul
Mental health well-being is a core component of every MOM centre as part of the objectives of self development and financial independence.
Mothers in Kabul have started weaving Hazarajat embroidery in addition to the usual garments.
It’s so heartening to receive their feedback on the MHWB sessions:
Halima :The seminar was beneficial for me. It helped me overcome past painful memories and made me realize that despite a painful past, we can still have a beautiful future. With each psychology session, I notice many positive changes in my mind, and I feel calmer. I’ve learned to think positively and have hope for the future.
Zainab :Today’s session was very effective for me. It helped me find inner peace. Recently, I was constantly thinking about my past, but now I feel like I’ve overcome it and achieved peace. I’ve learned that we shouldn’t blame ourselves for our past, as we might not have had the tools to solve those issues back then. Regretting the past won’t solve any problems today. It’s better to not let the past interfere with our future but to heal from it and continue moving forward.
Shegofa: Today’s session was so good and helped me become more hopeful about my life.
Thank you for your continued support.
