Final Friday of Ramadan – Spreading the Rizq, beyond the fast

Our honoured guest of the Holy Month of Ramadan that has once again helped us refine reform and rejuvenate is about to leave us.

But as all the food parcels and Eid gifts have been delivered and the noble guest leaves us to carry on living our reformed lives for the next 11 months until, if Allah gives us the tawfeeq, they will return how do we carry on delivering the blessings in spreading the Rizq beyond the fast?

How do we ensure children do better at school because they eat well at home? That mothers are not anaemic in pregnancy and raise nourished families? That whole families live active lives as they grow on locally farmed nutritious meals?

The Lady Fatemah Trust has since our inception 27 years ago focussed on empowerment and helping communities work their way out of poverty by addressing the factors holding them back.

So make a pledge this Friday, the final day this Ramadan, and the 27th night that precedes it to provide water for drinking but also farming and growing nutritious local food, working with over 5,000 families in East Africa and Pakistan to help them provide better meals for themselves all year round.

Providing a flock of chicken or heard of goats or sheep can significantly enhance the nutritional intake of a family and give them the strength to work their way to greater success.
