In the first 10 days of Zilhijjah as we focus on our spirituality in preparation for the Day of Arafah and the celebrations of Eid families in Gaza are going though the summer with little or no access to water.
So far 802,998 litres of water have been distributed serving 19,119 people.
With over 90% of infrastructure decimated over the past 20 months and restriction on the delivery of basic food commodities you can give the internally displaced communities that have lost dear family members respite by giving them access to a purified supply of water in memory of the event of Karbala and the day of Ashura.
It costs a £1.25 for six litres to be provided per person per day for a whole week of drinking, cooking and washing.
That’s £5 to make a family of four self sufficient for water for the week, or £500 to support a cluster of 100 families.
Please donate generously in memory of your loved ones to support these vulnerable victims of one of the worst genocides in living memory.
