At the LFT we try and ensure every single water project we enable has the right repairs and maintenance follow up to ensure that the benefit continues to flow to the donors just as the water continues to flow from the projects to benefit communities.
Having an installed capacity of 120,000 litres an hour or 2,500,000 litre a day which is the ability to serve over 10,000,000 cups of water daily thanks to the generosity of our partners the Jaffer Family Foundation and several other donors we want to ensure that the sand filters are cleaned and membranes regularly replaced so that the benefit to the pilgrims continues to flow.
This way the lifecycle of the equipment installed is prolonged and the benefit to pilgrims stays constant especially in the summer months and the lead up to Arbaeen.
So join us in this journey as we add the capacity to cool the water for pilgrims in the summer months at a volume of 100,000 lites at a time to up to 1,200 taps.
