But long before disasters make headlines, the water crisis is already harming children. UNICEF highlights that 53,000 Pakistani children under five die each year from diarrhoea linked to poor water and sanitation, a devastating reminder that safe water isn’t a luxury, it’s life-saving.

That’s why our work in Pakistan combines long-term water solutions (like wells and clean water access) with emergency response when families are hit by floods or sudden hardship, helping households stay nourished, protected, and able to rebuild with dignity.
