From Karbala on the Wilaadah of Sayyeda Zainab sa – Sr Israa Al Karb who leads the MOM project in Karbala was recognised as one of the top 10 female entrepreneurs in by the Governor of Karbala, Mr Nassif Jassim al-Khattabi.
Her role in promoting the project and enhancing systems and relationships with the local communities takes the project to a new level and iA many more success for the mothers who train and produce suitable modest wear for local communities and businesses. Close to 300 mothers have participated in over 14 rounds of training and remain supported by two full time mental health well being counsellors.
Tens of thousands of satisfied customers and close to $1,000,000 sales generated make this a unique project of empowerment in Karbala that is replicated elsewhere.
